    Bien aqui les va esta informacion considero que en el foro debe estar para que nosotros los dueños de un prelude conozcamos la historia de estos grandes autos, espero les guste...


    1º Generacion (1979-1982)

    El primer Prelude fue diseñado con un modelo mas estilista basado en el Accord, utilizando el diseño de la 2º generacion del Civic y el motor de las 1º generacion del Accord. La suspension y los frenos tambien fueron prestadas del Civic, excepto que la barra anti-roll delantera fue montada detrás de los árboles en vez en del frente. El Prelude incluyo un monton de equipo estandard, incluyendo un "moonroof de cristal" electrico que fue la marca registrada del Prelude. El diseño exterior introdujo muchos detalles que luego fueron considerados en el Civic y Accord futuros. Habian 2 versiones 1600 y 1800

    2º Generacion (1983-1987)

    El prelude 1983 era más ancho, más bajo y más de largo que su precursor. y el motor de 1.8-litros CVCC, alimentado a través de dos carburadores, generó 25 caballos de fuerza adicionales que el viejo Accord. Fue rediseñado el sistema de suspension delantero. En 1984, un 12-valvulas convencional substituyó la unidad CVCC y el sistema de frenos fue sustituido por uno de discos en las 4 ruedas. Road & Track declararon el prelude 1984 como el mejor coupe deportivo debajo de $12.000, y el mismo año, Car and Driver clasificaron al prelude en segundo lugar despues del Porsche 944. A mediados de 1985 Honda introdujo el Prelude SI, que cambio los carburadores por el sistema de injeccion de combustible PGM-FI usado en el Civic y el Accord. Este motor produjo un incremento de 10 caballos de fuerza pero distintos factores como el aire acondicionado y la nueva version de la carroceria hicieron que el incremento fuera apenas superior que la version anterior que tambien se siguio vendiendo. La producción de total para el mercado de ESTADOS UNIDOS era 336.599. Tenian dos modelos a disposicion el modelo base y el modelo SI.

    B]3º Generación (1988-1991)[/B]

    El prelude de la tercera generación era un refinamiento de la segunda generación. Dos versiones fueron ofrecidas: el preludio S, con 105hp, 12 valvulas, SOHC, doble-carburador B20A3, y el SI, con 135hp, 16-valvulas, la cabeza de DOHC y la inyección de combustible B20A5. La suspensión delantera y posterior de esta vez, empleó un diseño frontal doble A-arm. Los frenos, las ruedas y los neumáticos estan mas hacia adelante haciando al coche mas grande. Un sistema opcional de direccion en las 4 ruedas hizo que fuera uno de los primeros en ofrecerlo. Esto hizo que el radio de giro a baja velocidad fuera superior y en alta velocidad mejoro la estabilidad por ejemplo en el cambio de carril. El peso creció junto con la potencia sin embargo, el SI era levemente más rápido que el prelude de segunda generación. En 1990, Honda aumentó el Prelude SI con un motor de 2.1-litros. Que marco una temprana produccion de cilindros con pared de alumino reforzado que Honda usaba para sus motores de competicion, produciondo 10hp extras de potencia sobre el motor mas pequeño. Ambas versiones del motor de 2-litros continuaron siendo ofrecidas también. La producción total para el mercado de ESTADOS UNIDOS era de 160.909.

    4º Generacion (1992-1996)

    La cuarta generacion fue una rotura total del tradicional prelude. -- el rectangular, cuerpo del notchback fue substituido por un fastback más corto, más bajo, más ancho. Debajo del capot, el Prelude SI recibió un nuevo motor, 160hp, 2.3-litros, injeccion, DOHC. Combinado con una caja de cambios bien-emparejada de 5-velocidades, el coche nuevo aceleró a 60 millas por hora casi dos segundos más rápidamente que los coches de la tercera-generacion. Un nuevo sistema de manejo de cuatro ruedas electrónicamente controlado volvio como opción. El prelude S compartió el mismo chasis y demas, pero utilizó un motor de 135hp, SOHC del Accord y rodado más pequeño, ruedas de 14 pulgadas. En 1993, Honda agregó el SI VTEC (más adelante, simplemente el prelude VTEC) al mercado de ESTADOS UNIDOS, dandole al prelude un motor de 190hp que en Japon introdujeron un año antes. Ademas del motor mas grande estos autos habian aumentado los interiores y frenos delanteros un poco mas grandes, pero eran de otra manera idénticos al SI de 2.3-litros. En 1994, Honda realizó cambios interiores de menor importancia a la iluminación interior y a la consola del centro. El SE del prelude 1995 solamente era simplemente un SI de 2.3-litros con la estereofonia interior y mejorada de cuero del VTEC. La opción de direccion de cuatro ruedas fue impopular en los ESTADOS UNIDOS, y no fue ofrecida después de 1994. La producción total para el mercado de ESTADOS UNIDOS era 98.627.

    5º Generacion (1997-2001)

    El quinto volvió a la configuración del notchback de las primeras tres generaciones. El motor de H2A1 VTEC fue estandardizado, y el chasis refinado y estilizado. El nuevo coup técnico de Honda era el sistema de transferencia automática del esfuerzo de torsión, una tentativa innovadora de mejorar la capacidad de la impulsión de la rueda delantera aplicando el esfuerzo de torsión diferenciado a través de los rodillos impulsores. El Modelo SH, equipado con ATTS, hizo que el prelude estuviera entre los 10 mejores de Car and Driver’s, y en 1998, la revista lo declaro como el mejor auto por debajo de los $30,000. Desafortunadamente, el prelude había triplicado su precio en el curso de su vida, alcanzando los $25.000 por la 5º generación. De cara con la competición del nuevo Accord y de la coupe Acura Integra tipo R, las ventas del prelude cayeron a las 10.000 unidades anualmente, esto hizo que Honda descartara al prelude de su linea de produccion. La producción total para el mercado norteamericano era 58.118. Hay varias versiones Modelo Base, Modelo JDM Si, Modelo JDM SiR, Modelo JDM Xi, Modelo SH.

    Lo Unico que te falto alli fue las 2 versiones del Prelude 5ta gen JDM y USDM
    TYPE S y SIR-Spec ambos con un motor H22A pero con 223HP stock jiji y la gran diferencia entre ambos es que el TYPE S trae ATTS y el SIR-Spec trae LSD pero el SIR-Spec no llego al mercado USDM solo se quedo en Japon, ahora bien el TYPE S si llego al mercado USDM y con la variedad de tener ATTS y LSD

    Si vos fijate que tambien habia puesto la info de la 2 y 4 generacion pero me dijo lo mismo del moderador lo tenia que ver si te lo podias agregar y tambien si tenes mas info de los modelos qie faltan...

    Es la otra version del LSD solo que este se maneja a traves de torque, lo malo de este sistema es que te deja muy limitado a hacer muchas cosas en modificaciones lo mas que podes llegar a usar en la parte electronica es un VAFC
